Tithe Drinker, Beckon Apparition, and Dutiful Thrull
or
Barter in Blood, Blood Tribute, and Carnival Hellsteed?
I’m not sure I really like the new rule changes. Now planeswalkers will be a lot more powerful than they were.
Also, I don’t like the legend rule change. Now Sigarda’s gonna be a broken piece of ass in standard until Theros rolls in. And that means I’m actually going to have to play boardwipes, or just stick to Aetherize and Blustersquall.
Also, the new land drop thingie is a bit confusing, but it’s something I could get used to.
I’m a bit sad that “unblockable” is no longer going to be a thing. Oh well, at least it’s still gonna be around. And Indstructible is finally a keyword, it’s been long enough.
0-3 tonight, but got some really nice trades. A Blood Crypt, Clifftop Retreat, 2 Blind Obediences, foil Steward of Valeron, and an old Teysa.
Clearly, my Jund Midrange needs a LOT of work. Things simply aren’t working out as I would like them to, so I need to diagnose where exactly the problem is, what cards are screwing the deck up, and fix it. Maybe I’ll do more test plays throughout the week.
0-2-1, and to make it worse, tonight was rather uneventful and somewhat irritating. Round 1, the kid took like 3 minutes every turn. He would count and tap his lands about five times before casting a creature, and then take it back and recount his lands again. And then round 3, if he hadn’t killed my Desecration Demon, I would have won, but instead, he had to do it and make it a draw. Round 2, it was actually kind fun. Round 3, I went against an Esper control mill deck. Obviously, I lost, because my Dimir deck is fully anti-creature, not anti-control since no one else plays it there. The games just dragged on for really long; I should have just scooped because I had no chance of winning whatsoever. I didn’t even get to trade or test out my decks much. At least my Jund Midrange is complete now, just gotta playtest it.
And it’s centered around the Renegade Krasis and Exava(I might as well name the deck Renegade Witch)
But there’s this one part of the deck that I can’t decide on, so I’m going to need your opinion on this.
Option 1:
6 Guildgates
2 Saruli Gatekeepers
2 Ubul Sar Gatekeepers
3 Prophetic Prism
Pros- Better sustenance, more blockers
Cons- Less deck thinning, Gates come in tapped
Option 2:
6 Basic lands
4 Abundant Growth
3 Prophetic Prism
Pros- Thins out deck, allows me to have Give//Take and Nimbus Swimmer in my sideboard, can possibly even add in one Zegana
Cons- Less sustenance, less blockers
Any suggestions?
Is it weird that I find Phyrexians really attractive

I mean come on aren’t they overwhelmingly alluring
Today during work this card came into my mind
Except I thought it said “Exile all cards from target player’s graveyard” and so I got really confused and was like
“Mind Sculpt for 21 life????????”
I really want to build a standard Jund 4-drop Reanimator deck, using Bloodrushing things and Unleash things and possibly Scavenge things as well. I would play 4-drops, attack with them, and Bloodrush the fuck out of them. When a good amount are in my graveyard, I’d cast Immortal Servitude for 4 and bring them all back.
Of course, after game 1, Immortal Servitude and Scavenge stuff are going out, because they would obviously board in graveyard hate.
I dunno, though. This idea sounds rather slow and flimsy. I suppose the Saruli Gatekeeper could provide good sustenance, but I dunno. Maybe I’ll try 3-drop, or 2-drop Jund Reanimator instead.
